I caught my three-year-old daughter busily tearing some papers to bits.
Horrified at the mess she was making, I exclaimed:
“What are you doing?! Why are you tearing those papers? Take them and throw them in the garbage!”
Then came her brilliant reply:
“These papers?! I’m tearing them up for the garbage!”
She insinuates that her activity was actually to prepare them for disposal!
